I'm not trying to make it political. I'm just trying to make a point. Just because I use politics as an example doesn't mean the argument is political.
The point is that amidst all these great updates the first thing I see is a big list of complaints.

Thnx for handling that seems like some people can never be satisfied no matter what you do. If it does not affect them directly then the update was a failure.
Maybe he should just quit and go play WOW with the other monthly subscribers who bitch and eat what is given to them and still have to pay for something they dont want.

never mind, funbun. I just couln't resist going political myself, so I'm to blame as well.
and I totally agree with you: there's a great update (for f r e e ) and people start complaining about it. There's nothing wrong with giving feedback and opinion, but flaming away at the devs because they didn't include more stuff in their FREE update is just ridiculous..

Anet: Recall the update
Anet: Publish the update on Compact Disc.
Anet: Print guide and misc cards along with a box
Anet: Supply chain the update to distributors for retail sale on store shelves
Anet: Suggest mfg retail value of $35
Anet: Title the summer update, Guild Wars Sorrows Furnace
P.S. I thought this is what A-net was going to do iin the first place?????
Anet: For an additional amount of money charge $10 for Grenth's Footprint
Anet: No wait, as a bonus provide Grenth's Footprint free of charge
Anet: No wait, disregard all that and decide to give it away for free.
After all, your attempt to retain customers will be met with joy at the changes you made. I mean who cares about organizing skills per profession and per category in the skills browser.
We want capes that can be toggled on and off!
After all, who cares about all the remaining changes you made to the game, we want guild storage!
Anet: Begin charging a monthly fee and develop GW into a MMORPG
Anet: Claim need to begin charging a monthly fee is offset publishing costs
Anet: Also, Server maintenance and Hurricane Katrina have contributed
Anet: to rising prices, cost of oil, our employees have been affected as well
Anet: Monthly fee should be comprable to other MMORPGs
Anet: Suggested $15 a month. Proceed to publish updates free.
Anet: Recall retail versions of the recent updates and push them server side
Once this is accomplished, the complaints, the whines, the groans, and the crying has legitemacy because now we are paying for a product to use that does not contain all that we desire.
No, wait I am going to cancel my account because yuo did not make the necessary changes to the Trader.
Anet: Charge a nominal $25 fee for account activation in the new pay-to-play
Anet: system. Also, if an account is cancelled, delete all items and retain
Anet: only the character information on a separate server.
Anet: Increase monthly fee to $20 to offset account information storage.
Wait, why not just charge whatever you want and make a profit since, in my opinion, the retail version of the game does not equate to all the updates and changes you made.

I predict that in 2 more years 50% of all A-net and Blizzard developers will commit suicide

Uff .... If you're so unhappy about a free update, do everyone a favor and go play WoW?
And a solution to random idiot PUGs has been found long time ago - join an active guild & add any other nice people you meet to friendslist.

The graphics are better? Don't think so.
Extreme XP. I'm curious: what are you doing with all the XP you gain?

My only complaint with the new update are the seemingly ever-growing numbers of people who wouldn't shutup about the update before they got their spoiled-rotten I want my toy now hands on it, then proceeded to begin bitching asap on it once it was accessible. This thread is ridiculous.

i think its a great update, but i respect your opinion and agree with you on a few points, but it is pointless to argue your point here because everyone else ruins it and goes crying for a mod to close the topic

That sounds like the FFXI Auction house system. When ffxi server's were being denidal of service attacks that were bringing the servers to a crawl, they had to shut off the search function (necessary for party formations) and disable the auction house system to prevent the server from dying and handle the load. The reason for this is it would transfer x object from pc to pc and adjust gold.
The only way I can see them implementing this and not burden the server is to create a "fake" trader house system. There is a "house" with several npc's to talks to or it be a mob scene. Have it list every item they there going to allow. When someone sells an item, it does a +1 counter from a starting point. When someone sells an item it does -1. Based on the current "value" determins the sale price / buy price. If you have it where it's links player account to item to gold transfer... that's going to massively increase server burden. If they do implement it this way... I can see a lot of people upset because it would be nothing more then an advanced trader.
I personally love this update, and the dev do have some sort of trading system in the works. It's just not ready yet.
